Whether figurative or landscape, my work is a combination of direct observation, imagination and memory. Nature is my constant inspiration. I am attracted to its organic forms and textures. I love being out in the earth's elements, feeling the energy and cycles of life.

Curiosity is my driving force. I like to watch people, events, and life unfold. I like to investigate the unknown. My love for travel and new experiences has taken me to many interesting places to paint, which often surface in my narrative work.

These works are a combination of oil paintings on canvas with fabric sewn around the border, creating vertical wall hangings. This is an eight-part series, fashioned in the Chinese scroll style with both indigenous landscapes and fabrics. They were inspired by the artistic haying of undulating fields and New Hampshire's majestic mountains.
